About

Mark Machnic grew up in Highland, Indiana. After attending Highland High School, he attended Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana, on a baseball scholarship, where he graduated with a double major in accounting and information systems. He subsequently achieved his certified public accountant license in 1991.

With a keen sense for numbers and computers, he worked in the private sector of accounting for several years, where he gained experience in the accounting field. His passion for expanding his experience led him to the commercial insurance industry, where he was controller for several years. This varying background gave way to Mark opening his own, very successful accounting firm in 2008.

Ultimately, his appetite for knowledge led him to the pursuit of his CVA, CDFA and MAFF. Once accredited, he began doing extensive work with, not only clients but attorneys as well. As a valued expert witness, he has been instrumental in several sizable court cases. He has directly impacted divorce settlement cases, partner disputes, and felony embezzlement, just to name a few. With a keen sense for accounting and his acute understanding of the various information systems used in his field, he has cultivated an impressive forensic accounting specialty within his general accounting business.

Recently Mark added to his wealth of expertise by successfully completing the International Exit Planning Association’s education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements to achieve the Certified Business Exit Consultant Designation (CBEC). This added specialty service allows Mark to tailor a plan for the individual business owner who is working towards the goal of selling their business. The comprehensive plan provides recommendations with respect to growing their business, as well as the related tax implications.

Mark currently holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC).
